Research and publications
My doctoral research develops scalable methods for planning evacuation routes on large road networks, including routing electric vehicles under charging and road-capacity limits. It sits alongside 15 years of building data platforms in industry.

Doctoral research
Resource-constrained evacuation route planning
A Capacity-Aware Charge-Encoded State-Space Approach. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Florida Atlantic University.
The research routes evacuees to safe destinations while respecting shared road capacities, and extends this to electric vehicles that must stop to charge. Its TE-CERA heuristic eliminated charging violations while keeping evacuation times close to a capacity-only baseline, on real road networks of up to 329,929 intersections.

Hybrid Framework for Synthetic Transportation Network Generation: Combining Constraint-First Topology with Learned Geometry
With Jhansi Xavier and KwangSoo Yang
IEEE Access, published July 2026
Generates synthetic road networks by building valid topology first and learning realistic geometry on top, for simulation and planning studies.
